Joint method of rubber conveyor belt

Here THEMAX will introduce you several joint methods of rubber conveyor belts. The conveyor belt must be connected in a loop before it can be used. Therefore, the quality of the conveyor belt joint directly affects the service life of the conveyor belt and the smooth operation of the conveyor line. Commonly the methods used for conveyor belt joints include mechanical joints, cold-bonded joints and hot-vulcanized joints.

I.Conveyor belt mechanical joint method:
Generally refers to the use of belt buckle joints. This joint method is convenient and economical, but the efficiency of joint is low and easy to damage, which has a certain impact on the service life of conveyor belt products. In PVC and PVG whole core flame-retardant antistatic conveyor belt joints, generally the products below grade 8 belts use this joint method.

II.Conveyor belt cold bonding joint method:
It means that it’s used cold bonding adhesive for joints. This joint method is more efficient and economical than mechanical joints, and it should have a better joint effect. However, from a practical point of view, because the process conditions are more difficult to master, and the quality of the adhesive has a great influence on the joint. So it is not very stable.

III.Conveyor belt thermal vulcanization joint method:
Practice has proved to be an ideal joint method, which can ensure high joint efficiency, and it is also very stable. The service life of joint is also much longer and easier to master. However, there are disadvantages such as troublesome process, high cost and long splicing time, etc.
In rubber conveyor belt industry, belt splicing is always a big headache and trouble maker. But through hard-working in research and development, THEMAX find a good product solution for it. Now THEMAX keep on helping insiders to solve joint and splicing problem.
